about us
Hola Land offers a program to childcare centres that allows young children - as early as 4 months up to 5 years of age - to experience a fun, interactive and practical adventure in Spanish.
Based on the Natural Approach* children are exposed to a comprehensive program in a practical context where acquisition is assured, easy and enjoyable.
Our Learning Levels
Specifically targeted for each age group
Babies
We aim to stimulate the little ones with lots of visual, tactile & auditive activities.
Nursery rhymes in Spanish are a wonderful way to encourage & support speech & language development plus early literacy skills.
Toddlers
Toddlers will be engaged by nursery rhymes that include actions for them to imitate.
Incorporating games and play-based activities, such as story time and puppet play, are a fun & effective way to teach new vocabulary.
Pre-schoolers
By this age, children are growing their vocabulary and we aim to use topics they are interested in (such as animals, numbers, colours).
We will play games, make art & craft ,read stories and sing songs.
In the Hola Land program we use movement and gesture, repetition, everyday objects, and illustration to give students lots of comprehensible input in fun and practical contexts through songs, games, activities, literature, and art projects.
Given younger children’s short attention spans Hola Land Spanish sessions aims to hold children attention at all times!
For this reason the duration and content of each session targets our three different age groups.
It’s never too late and it’s certainly never too early

the natural approach
Meaning is achieved by giving learners lots of comprehensible input.
Students acquire Spanish naturally, allowing for a lesson that requires little or no translation - reinforcing the goal that teachers use Spanish at least 90% of the time.
Hola Land uses the Natural Approach which supports the idea that children learn language only through acquisition as opposed to learning.
Learning requires a focus on form, i.e., on grammar while acquisition requires a focus on meaning.
